Perfume is one of those products that can affect our emotions. People `s sense of smell influences behavior and sets different moods. It may even evoke memories of the past. As a marketing tool, perfume is also present in our daily lives and it can be found in lots of consumer products. Besides the fact that perfume is so popular, Have you ever wandered how it came into being what it is today? That the history of perfume?

Some anthropologists say that perfume was used by primitive man through the burning of gums and resins incense. Finally, from 7000-4000 BC, richly scented plants, animal oils and fats of olive oil and sesame are thought were combined with herbs to create original ointments.

Three thousand years in ancient Egypt, historians believe that perfume was first used in rituals, as part of their religious ceremonies, creating a pleasant smell. Also from this same time, it is believed that the perfume was used in Mesopotamia for ritual ceremonies. And farther east, in China, herbs have been used for medicine.

Also France has played a major role in restoring the use of fragrances for therapeutic purposes the Western world. It was reported that during the Second World War, the scent treatments were used in the treatment of wounds and burns, and later in the treatment of psychiatric problems.

Perfume has brought different people together in the past by trading aromatic scents. He also played a major contract, since its trade meant economic power to the nations.
