Tips and tricks for buying and wearing of Perfumes

Fragrances can often reflect our mood and personality. A scent of a good friend can feel quite differently on you, as each fragrance reacts differently according to our own chemical composition.

When testing a perfume in a store, be sure to wait about 10 minutes to allow the fragrance to react to the chemistry of your body before you buy. Feel after the first application and again after the smell of waiting. This will allow you to taste the two notes top and middle of the odor and give you a good idea of how the perfume will extend throughout the day.

Please limit the number of flavors you try any time in the store – just stick to 3 or 4 at a time. Otherwise, your sense of smell may be exceeded and you may not be able to say the scent of the other!

If you are concerned about an allergic reaction, wait one hour after the collection of perfume. If no reaction occurs at this time, it is probably safer to go ahead and splurge on this new fragrance!

Always apply perfume directly on your skin or hair, as some fragrances (especially perfumes and fragrances that have a higher concentration of oils) can cause discoloration on certain fabrics. Never spray perfume directly on silk – it's damage!

If you like a little spritz on your clothes, be sure to test first on hidden area as a liner before spraying it all over yourself! This is particularly true for delicate fabrics and "dry clean only" clothing.

I suggest changing your fragrance depending on the season. In other words, go for lighter scents during the hot season and retain fragrances stronger for drier, cooler weather. Heat intensifies the scent, so there is no need to put in a heavy odor during the summer. And if you're outside, be aware that bees, wasps, hornets and other flying insects are attracted to floral fragrances (Who is Another good reason to stick to light, smells clean!)

Speaking of heat, if you want to keep that favorite Cologne fresh as the day you bought it, keep the bottle in a cool, dark place. Keep the container in its original box if possible. You may even want to keep it in the fridge, so you can have a refreshing cool spritz of your perfume before leaving for the day!
